30 Days of Soft Power Yoga: Week 1 Release— Your December Yoga Reset

December arrives with a quiet invitation: slow down, soften, and let go.

At Mystic Garden Yoga(Flexy Sexy Healthy), we’re opening the month with a theme that every mind, body, and spirit needs, Release. This first week of our December Reset is designed to help you lighten what you’ve been carrying all year so you can move into the new one with clarity, ease, and intention.

Why “Release” Matters

As the year winds down, many of us feel the buildup of emotional stress, unfinished goals, old patterns, and energetic clutter. Your yoga practice becomes a gentle way to exhale all of that. Through slow movement, intentional breathing, and mindful pauses, you create space inside yourself. Space for peace, healing, and renewal.

Release isn’t about forgetting your experiences. It’s about acknowledging what has served you, honoring what has challenged you, and letting go of what no longer aligns with the woman you’re becoming.

This Week’s Yoga Focus

Throughout Week 1, we’ll explore poses that soothe the nervous system and soften the whole body:

  • Child’s Pose: Melt into the mat, release tension in the back, and reconnect with your breath.

  • Standing Forward Fold: Let the weight drop from your shoulders and unwind lingering stress.

  • Supine Spinal Twist: Detox the spine, calm the mind, and wring out emotional buildup.

  • Supported Restorative Shapes: Use pillows, blankets, or blocks to encourage deep relaxation.

Expect gentle flows, calming music, and mindful transitions. Everything your body craves after a long year.

Journal Prompts for Emotional Release

Pair your practice with reflection to deepen the release:

  • What am I ready to let go of before this year ends?

  • Where has my energy been drained, and how can I reclaim it?

  • What did I learn from the challenges I faced in 2025?

  • What beliefs or habits am I willing to release to create space for new blessings?

You don’t need perfect answers, just honesty and softness with yourself.
